Join Spokane Preservation Advocates for Pride in Place: LGBTQIA Landmarks of Spokane, Late 1800–Today—a fascinating look at the spaces that shaped Spokane’s 2SLGBTQIA+ history.

Speakers Hayley Olson, Spokane Pride Historian, and Percy Laird, Spokane Pride History and Remembrance Project, will explore over a century of gathering places, from the two-spirit members of the Spokane Tribe to Dempsey’s Brass Rail in the 1980s to the vibrant venues that continue to serve our community today.

Through stories, photos, and local insight, this lecture will highlight sites where people met, loved, and built community—and discuss how we can preserve these spaces for generations to come.

Enjoy no-host cocktails, appetizers, and conversation at The Q Lounge, a Prohibition-style bar located in the historic Richmond Hotel (part of the Spokane Register–listed Mearow Block).
