The 2026 Preservation Gala lit up the Boxcar Room on Saturday, April 25, bringing 120 guests together inside the historic Northwest Cold Storage Warehouse for an evening that blended celebration, community, and a shared love of Spokane’s past.
The night sparkled with glam, enthusiasm, and just the right amount of friendly competition. Thanks to the generosity of attendees, donors, bidders, and sponsors, the Gala raised more than $50,000 — vital support for SPA’s advocacy, education, and grant programs, including the Heritage Fund, which fuels preservation projects across Spokane County.
Kadra Evans Catering delivered a standout menu, and the Boxcar Room looked as radiant as the guests themselves. Auctioneer Jeff Owens kept the energy high throughout the evening, showcasing each auction item with charm and momentum that helped drive the night’s success.
Most of all, the Gala captured what Spokane does best: bringing good people together around good stories and a shared commitment to the places that make our city feel like home. It was one of those nights that simply felt like Spokane at its best.
